Join the increasing number of people who are learning to talk with their hands. Learn basic sign communication, the alphabet, and information about deafness in America. You will learn a vocabulary of approximately 250 signs.

This class is designed for nurses, doctors, health care administrators, front desk workers, and anyone working with Spanish-speaking patients. In addition to basic greetings and general Spanish vocabulary, the course also covers job titles, admissions and intake, insurance forms, body parts and organs, medical history, patient examination, discharge instructions, and common injuries and accidents.

Do you need to know basic Chinese for business or travel? You will be introduced to the basic grammar and a set of vocabulary generally recognized as useful in everyday communication. This course adopts a multifaceted approach to help you gain training in listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in standard Mandarin Chinese so you communicate in everyday situations. Aspects of Chinese culture are also introduced.

Gain a solid foundation and understanding of the Italian language. At the end of the course, you will:
- understand the instructor’s explanations and commands as well as short presentations on familiar topics with frequent explanations/clarifications
- understand short, authentic texts related to travel, advertisements, and brief descriptions
- engage in brief conversations on topics mostly related to self and surroundings
- write short essays on familiar topics using the structures and vocabulary learned in the classroom
