Executive Director of Fuel Cell Initiatives
Description:
The Executive Director of Fuel Cell Initiatives will be 100 percent
dedicated to the development and management of fuel cell projects on
campus. This individual will serve as Principal Investigator for the
College’s NSF-funded Great Lakes Fuel Cell Partnership project;
coordinate the College’s fuel cell grant activities, which include
working collaboratively with the Development Office on proposals,
implementation of funded projects and serving as institutional
contact with funding agencies on all fuel cell grant projects;
coordinate other institutional fuel cell activities, including
events that promote fuel cell technology to the general public and
others as they are developed; teach two fuel cell courses per year;
represent the College at the Ohio Fuel Cell Coalition, its education
committee and in any other capacities that may arise; maintain
contact with the Ohio Department of Development regarding statewide
fuel cell-related developments and grant funding; work locally,
statewide, regionally and nationally with public and private
organizations to support economic development activities that relate
to alternative energy technologies and to strengthen education’s
role in those activities.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Education Administration or technical field with
a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology; 2-4 years
postsecondary education experience, preferably including curriculum
development, instruction and involvement in collaborative projects;
4-6 years project management experience involving education and
private-sector partnerships. Must be a seasoned professional
possessing excellent communication, organizational, technical,
people and project management skills. Must possess an excellent
understanding of fuel cell technology, its history of development,
and have an understanding of current developments in the field as
well as its potential for commercialization in the future. Must
possess an attitude of accountability and responsibility for
managing grant projects/funds. Experience in grant development and
management preferred.
