Coordinator, Dietetic Technician Program
Responsibilities:
This position begins as a part-time, hourly position that provides
development and leadership for the proposed dietetic technician
program. Goals to be attained include: gaining preliminary approval
from the commission on accreditation for Dietetic Education of the
American Dietetic Association; developing needed assessment for the
program; selecting and meeting with the program Advisory Board;
developing curriculum for the degree and certificate program,
including dietetic and general courses; developing a listing of
resources required by the program such as faculty, space, equipment
and supplies; developing a budget showing income and expenses for
the program; obtaining approval from the Ohio Board of Regents for
the program by completing the OBR Proposal for New Associate Degree
Program. After OBR approval and accreditation are obtained, the
position will become a full-time, contracted position. The
responsibilities will include recruiting faculty and students,
developing courses, creating affiliation agreements with facilities
in the community, completing articulation agreements with
universities, securing needed equipment and supplies, meeting with
the program advisory committee, maintaining program accreditation,
scheduling courses and developing workloads. This position is
responsible for day-to-day operation of the program.
Requirements:
Master’s degree. Credentialed as a registered dietitian or dietetic
technician registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
