Description: This part-time position provides assistance with the production of quality internal and external communications and marketing information including news releases, print and electronic publications, advertising and other components of the marketing mix. Responsibilities include writing copy, editing and proofing print and electronic publications such as brochures, flyers, college catalog, online publications, etc; ongoing writing and development of student profiles and faculty profiles for use on the Web and in print; assisting with development and consistent use of style guides; assisting with public events, graphic design and campus photography as needed.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, English or related field. Minimum of two years of professional writing experience in a marketing/publications department or for print publications. Must have strong writing skills in both feature and news style and possess excellent communications and interpersonal skills. Must be familiar with AP style and have strong interviewing skills. Web design and graphic design experience a plus.
