Description: Full-time, 180-day contract position beginning spring of 2010. Prepare and deliver high quality day, evening and/or weekend course instruction at main and/or satellite campuses or on the web in software engineering. Responsibilities include traditional and online course development and facilitation; academic advising; and research and development of potential certificate and/or program offerings. Participation on division and college committees; professional development opportunities; marketing of programs, articulation with other colleges; and other duties as assigned by the department. Support quality improvement in the department and the College. This full-time instructor position focuses on software engineering, web design and development, and computer programming. Maintain equipment within the Computer Science and Information Systems Department and assist with other software engineering, web design and development, and computer programming areas. Actively participate in the advisory committee to ensure academic program relevance at a state and national level.
Requirements: Bachelor’s of Computer Science or related field required, Master’s degree preferred. Must have at least three years of recent work experience in the software engineering, web design and development or computer programming environment. Demonstrated expertise in any or all of the following areas: C#.net, VB.net, ASP.net, SQL Server 2005 and/or 2008, SharePoint, Silverlight, Web Services, Web Design (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash, Fireworks). Certifications in information technologies such as MCPD, MCSD, and/or MCITP highly preferred.
