Description: Full-time, 180-day (plus supplemental) contract position beginning Fall of 2009. Facilitate admission and progression of paramedics applying for Advanced Standing Admission. Prepare and deliver high quality clinical teaching and evaluate students. Orient, supervise and mentor adjunct faculty; maintain suitable classroom, learning lab and clinical operation for the program; oversee purchase, inventory, and storage of program supplies and equipment; prepare course materials as indicated for the RN Completion for the Paramedic tract; assist in developing community support and grant writing; assist in facilitating the implementation of the nursing program. Participate in departmental, divisional, and college activities including open house, job fairs, other student-oriented functions and professional development.
Requirements: MSN. Must also have current active Ohio RN license. Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience and 2 years working with a nursing educational program that has assisted paramedics transitioning into the RN role. Ability to organize and schedule educational experiences is a plus. Must have current BLS certification and meet program and agency health requirements.
