Description: Full-time, 180-day contract position beginning spring of 2010. Prepare and deliver high quality day, evening and/or weekend course instruction at main and/or satellite campuses or on the web in early childhood education. Responsibilities include traditional and online course development and facilitation; academic advising; and research and development of potential certificate and/or program offerings. Participation on division and college committees; professional development opportunities; marketing of programs, articulation with other colleges; and other duties as assigned by the department. Support quality improvement in the department and the College.
Requirements: Master’s degree in Education supported with three or more years of experience in Early Childhood Education. Commitment to excellence in teaching with demonstrated teaching experience. Previous experience with college-level teaching is desirable as is an interest in developing and offering web-mediated instruction. A learner-focused instructional philosophy is essential. Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
