This program will allow the
student an in-depth study of the main principles and applications of
electrical engineering technology with an emphasis on mechanical engineering
technology fundamentals. In today's competitive world, electrical
engineering technicians with mechanical skills are in demand.
Electrical engineering
technology is concerned with the generation, transmission, and distribution
of electrical power; its application to power and control industrial
processes and wiring systems design. The mechanical coursework focuses on
materials, stress, strain, heat, friction, and vibration.
A graduate of this program will
earn an associate of applied science in electrical engineering technology.
