(North Canton, OH – Mar. 13, 2009) – “Just Because,” an art show featuring the work of noted local artist Bette Elliott, will be on display March 23-May 8 at the Stark State College Art Gallery. The North Canton resident selected “Just Because” as the name for her show, “Because the world is so beautiful, nature is so creative, colors are so fascinating, shapes are so compelling,” she said.

Her award winning works of art have been featured in many one-woman shows, local and international exhibitions, and may be found in public, private and business collections, including one in Stark State’s W.R. Timken Center for Information Technology. She has been featured in American Artist Magazine, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Art and Who’s Who in American Women.
A public reception for Elliot will be hosted March 30 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in S204-205 of the Stark State College Student Center, located at 6200 Frank Ave NW in Jackson Township.
