RSS commenly stands for "Really Simple Syndication" or "Rich Site Summary." Subscribing to an RSS feed allows users to retrieve the latest content from their favorite site or blog without having to visit the actual Web site. RSS feeds deliver the desired content including, news, headlines and summaries directly to a news aggregation tool such as Feed Reader, Google Reader, Microsoft Outlook or My Yahoo!. Users can also subscribe to an RSS feed via their web browsers using Internet Explorer's favorites bar or Firefox's bookmark toolbar.
