New Dental Hygiene Admission Process
Effective June 1, 2010. The Peach Rolling admission form now serves as the Dental Hygiene Program Application.
- Dental Hygiene Applicants must still complete their eligibility courses with a 2.75 GPA, but DO NOT have to wait until after completing these courses to take the PAX Test. Note: Students are encouraged to complete their eligibility courses prior to taking the Pax test to improve their scores. All other Pax test rules apply (retake, expiration, score, etc.)
- The Dental Office Experience/Observation Form is now available within the Peach Rolling Admission Application.
- Once students complete their eligibility courses with the 2.75 GPA, take the Pax Test and score at or above the 60 AD Composite and complete 20 hours of observation in an office where a hygienist is employed, they can complete the Peach Application, attach the Dental Experience/Observation Form and the Pax Test score and turn it all into the Academic Records/ Registration office.
Updated Rolling Admission Packets can be obtained from Admissions, or the Health Office in the H or J Buildings.
Note: These Application changes only affect Dental Hygiene. They do not apply to the Dental Assisting or Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) Programs.
