A Note from the President

My name is Brenda Dembraski-Marsh.  I am a single parent of three children with one still at home.  I got married less than a year after graduation from high school, so I never attended college.  But I’m here now.  And I love it!  I went to my first Phi Theta Kappa meeting and got elected President!  It is very exciting for me.  I love meeting new people, making new friends, and being in the thick of things.  Good thing!  One of the things that motivated me to attend college is that my niece graduated from Stark State last Spring and I just knew that it was something that I wanted a shot at.  And when I watched my son graduate this Spring, there was no doubt in my mind that I made the right decision.  I am majoring in Technical Communications.

Being involved in Phi Theta Kappa is such an honor for me.  I love to be involved and make a difference, and I think I found my niche right here!
