Honoree Don Colaner with
Foundation President George Lemon,
and SSC President Para Jones. |
The Stark State College Foundation Board recently recognized Don Colaner for 18 years of service, steady leadership and generous support. Don has helped fund many initiatives, as well as an endowed scholarship and a charitable trust. One of our earliest instructors back in the 1960s, Don also hired 15 Stark State graduates during his career at Hilscher-Clarke Electric Company.
"This college is a real gift to this community and a life changer for many students."
Like Don, you can create an endowed scholarship, in your name or in honor of another. For $5,000 (tax deductible and payable over five years), this permanent fund is invested with a long-term strategy to provide income into perpetuity without invading the principal. It's a wonderful way to honor a loved one and make a difference in the life of a deserving student. Contact Brenda Griffith at 330-494-6170, Ext. 4415 for more information.
