Dragon Dictate – a
voice to text program that allows you to speak into the computer and it
will type your dictation after you train it to recognize your voice and
commands.
JAWS – a screen reader that will read aloud everything on your
computer screen
Kurzweil 3000 – a text reader that will read aloud and highlight
the passages on your computer.
Key to Access and Premier to Go – text readers software programs
on a stick. Software in a flash drive that will allow you to access PDF,
text, and Web pages without having to load special software on your
computer.
Zoomtext – a text reader and magnifier that will allow you to
magnify the images on the computer screen up to 4 times their normal
size.
E-text – a book in a word document that will allow you to read
your book using text reading software.
PDF text – books that look like your hard bound book with graphs
and images, but are read on your computer for portability or to use with
text reading software. |

Victor Vibe – a CD player that uses the daisy format to play
books on CD recorded by Reading for the Blind and Dyslexic.
CCTV – we have portable CCTV’s that can be used to magnify
documents and with movable cameras so that demonstrations, overheads,
and images on white boards may be observed.
Sorenson NRS Video Phone – The video phone allows interpreters
and our hearing impaired/deaf students to interact with one another.
Should an interpreter be required, the phone has 3-way contact
capability. |
