Emergency Lamplighter Fund
The SSC Emergency Lamplighter Fund is not an academic scholarship. This emergency fund will pay vendors on behalf of qualified students to assist with emergency needs beyond academics that will assist the student in reaching academic completion and retention. This is a one-time per academic year grant with a maximum award amount up to $750. Students are only able to receive this grant two times.
The SSC Emergency Lamplighter Fund is designed to help prevent students with significant financial need from dropping out of college when faced with unexpected expenses, such as a car repair, past-due utilities, a medical bill or professional clothing for an interview or to start a new job.
To be eligible you must have filed FAFSA, be in good standing and have completed at least one full semester successfully.

Margaret Smith Emergency Endowed Fund
The Margaret Smith Emergency Endowed Fund is an award that must be related to an academic need. This emergency fund will pay vendors on behalf of qualified students to assist with emergency needs that are related to a successful academic outcome assisting the student in reaching academic completion and retention. This is a one-time only grant with a maximum award amount up to $500.
The Margaret Smith Emergency Endowed Fund is designed to help students with significant financial need in achieving academic and career related success.
To be eligible you must have filed FAFSA, be in good standing and have completed at least one full semester successfully.
