Grant Writer
The Strategic Grants Office performs the following functions:
- Interpret the goals, objectives, and intent of various grant opportunities
- Set a timeline for grant proposal completion and submission
- Form a grant proposal development team with the Program Manager/Principal Investigator and other project-relevant staff and faculty members
- Assist faculty, staff, and administrators in translating a creative idea into a workable plan
- Provide guidance related to budget development
- Assist with the collection of relevant data to support the need for the proposed project
- Help write, revise, edit, and/or critique the proposal to conform to the requirements of the funding organization/agency
- Complete all institutional assurance and other forms, obtain required signatures, and prepare resolutions for board approval, as necessary
- Coordinate internal review, approval, and submission of grant proposals
- Maintain official grant files and other appropriate records.
