Learn about persons who are deaf and their unique culture and community. The program provides an overview of the deaf community and three levels of American Sign Language instruction. You’ll also gain community learning experiences.
The one-year certificate includes a practicum of 210 field placement hours and, along with the American Sign Language short-term certificate, stacks toward an associate degree in education.
