Civil engineering technology – construction management major

In the construction management degree program, you’ll study the management and technology sides of the residential and commercial construction industry while developing an understanding of current building codes, construction materials and processes, principles of design and construction safety. You’ll explore topics such as interpreting construction documents, the importance of communication skills, project scheduling and understanding job cost reports as you learn through classroom, lab and field experiences. The curriculum combines technical instruction with management concepts to prepare you to take on a supervisory role in the field.
