The cafeteria is in the Student Services Building near the College Store, and you can see each week’s menu and hours on mystarkstate. Vending machines are also available in various spots throughout the college to tide you over when the cafeteria’s not open.

mySSC is your “portal” to your course and student information – and plenty more. You’ll be assigned a user name and password so you can access lots of info and resources. You’ll want to stay up to date by checking mySSC and your college email every day.

You can create a schedule that offers flexibility with time and place while maintaining access to faculty and other college services. While online learning isn’t easy, it’s convenient and offers busy students like you a great way to complete your education.

The Science Learning Center offers tutoring in all levels of natural and physical sciences. It’s also a great place to study, work on homework and get help as needed. Online SLC – BlackBoard Collaborate

The Science Learning Center is offering additional extended night hours six days a week in the areas of Chemistry, Biology, and Physics on Blackboard! Tutors are equipped with drawing tablets to make the experience seamless. No appointments are needed to access online tutoring. Access the Online Science Learning Center here. Students with 15 credits or less are assigned to a Gateway advisor, while students who’ve earned more than 15 credits are transitioned to an academic advisor.

The Stark State College Student Symposium, presented by Stark State’s Honors Program Oversight Committee, is a one-day event celebrating the academic achievements and technical skills of our students and local high school students.

The Symposium will showcase the students’ faculty-guided, in-depth research, capstone projects, scholarly work, creative activities or science projects.

Here’s where you’ll get computer-based or pencil-and-paper testing specific to courses. Some courses allow you to take computer-based tests outside of class in the Testing Center, usually within a timeframe of three to four days.
