NORTH CANTON, Ohio, May 13, 2024 – Recently, the Stark State College Foundation welcomed more than 270 College donors, students and staff to its Scholars and Benefactors Luncheon. The annual event gives students and their guests the opportunity to meet the benefactors supporting them through scholarships.

“This makes receiving a scholarship much more than a transaction. It creates a transformational moment,” said Pat Roberts, Ph.D., vice president of marketing, advancement and partnerships at Stark State. “We look forward to this event every year, as it allows us to further our mission of opening doors to relationships and resources that support the success of our students, partners and communities.”

In the 2023-24 academic year, 794 students received 1,208 Foundation scholarships. In the last 38 years, the Foundation has awarded nearly $9 million to more than 18,000 students.
