(North Canton, OH – Sept. 27, 2021) – Stark State College Akron will host a medical assisting information night at 360 Perkins St. on Oct. 12 from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Participants can learn about the program, talk with faculty, ask questions, learn about financial aid and tour the new medical lab spaces. New options in the program include:
- technical classes finished in three semesters
- classes held Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday each semester
- classes are eight weeks and 10 weeks long
- day or night programs available.
Local medical facilities are hiring medical assistants, who are cross trained to perform clinical and administrative responsibilities in working alongside physicians.
Stark State’s graduates are eligible to take the exam to become a certified medical assistant and also the exam to become a certified EKG technician.
