Stark State College computer science associate degree named sixth most affordable in nation

Stark State College’s associate degree in computer science recently was named the sixth most affordable in the nation.

The College earned the ranking from Education Reference Desk, a nationally recognized provider of college planning resources.

All schools considered for the rankings

  • are regionally or nationally accredited
  • offer at least one fully online computer science degree (with no more than two weeks of required in-person work)
  • were collected from official accrediting agency websites.

Schools are ranked by the average net price as released in the most recent Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) database collected in July of 2020.

For students who aim to advance toward a higher-level degree or go directly into the workforce, Stark State’s computer science and information technology career community includes programs in: computer engineering, computer network administration and security technology, computer programming and database, computer science and engineering technology, computer technology, cyber security and computer forensics technology, geographic information systems, help desk/computer support specialist, mobile application development, video game design and development and web design and development.
