Stark State College Dental Hygiene Clinic announces openings for low-cost services to the public

(North Canton, OH –March 10, 2020) –Stark State College Dental Hygiene Clinic is now accepting new patients for discounted dental services. The Clinic is open to community members of all ages.

The College’s dental hygiene students work under the supervision of licensed dental professionals in providing a full range of low-cost, preventative dental services to the general public, including

  • health screening (blood pressure check, oral cancer screening)
  • dental examination
  • oral prophylaxis (cleaning and polishing the teeth)
  • oral health instruction (with home care kit)
  • necessary x-rays
  • fluoride treatment
  • denture/removable appliance cleaning
  • sealants (when indicated)
  • nutritional counseling and
  • risk assessment.

The Clinic, open to any interested adults and children age five and up, offers appointments year ‘round when school is in session, including summers. Patients should be aware that Clinic appointments will require longer time commitments than at a private dental practice and that not all patients who are screened will be accepted.

Daytime and evening hours vary each semester. Call 330-305-6610 for exact times, or to schedule a required appointment. The Clinic does not treat dental emergencies.

Free parking for patients is available adjacent to the clinic entrance on the campus of Stark State College at 6200 Frank Ave., NW in Jackson Township.
