Stark State College names new vice president of enrollment management

Rich GreeneNORTH CANTON, Ohio, June 25, 2024 – Richard R. Greene has been named the new vice president of enrollment management at Stark State College, effective July 1. Greene will replace Dr. Stephanie Sutton, who will retire on June 30.

Greene’s higher education experience includes progressively increasing responsibilities at multiple institutions across the nation, including the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He most recently served as the director of recruitment in the division of enrollment management at Kent State University, where he oversaw strategy development, deployment and management of undergraduate, transfer and graduate recruitment. Greene’s expertise includes data-informed strategy development, student recruitment, understanding the current and future trends in higher education, and enrollment management leadership.

Originally from Alabama, Greene holds a B.A. in geography from Auburn University and an M.A. in geography from Ohio University. As a first-generation college student, he believes in and personally experienced the transformational power of education to change lives. He chose to work in higher education to play an active role in providing educational opportunities to others. Greene lives in the city of Kent with his 7-year-old son, Connor. The two enjoy sports and are usually found at one of Connor’s practices or games.
