(North Canton, OH – Jan. 4, 2024) – Stark State College is set to graduate 274 students at its summer/fall commencement Sunday, Jan. 7 at 2 p.m. at the Canton Civic Center.

The College will award 299 associate degrees in business, education, engineering technologies, health, human and public services, information technology, liberal arts, mathematics and sciences.

The commencement speaker will be Sheri Herbert, the College’s 2022-2023 Distinguished Teaching Award winner and assistant professor of dental hygiene at Stark State. She has an associate degree in applied science in dental hygiene, a bachelor’s degree in technical education from The University of Akron and a master’s degree in education from Kent State University.

Herbert is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, the American Dental Educators’ Association and the Ohio Dental Hygienists’ Association Academy of Dental Hygiene Studies.
